Tonight: LCD Soundsystem at Stubb's

By day, James Murphy is one-half of powerhouse indie label DFA Records, which has of late produced remix albums featuring the likes of Joy Division, The Rapture, Junior Senior, Gorillaz and N.E.R.D. But at night he's better known as LCD Soundsystem, purveyor of some of the hottest dance-punk disco remixes we've heard in quite some time.
When his eagerly awaited album finally shipped this February, critics hailed it as "exceptional", saying that Murphy "pushes the near-immaculate music into the realm of genius with witty lyrics and wonderfully tetchy vocals." It's clear that the man has a keen intuition for what gets the hipster kids shaking their asses: punchy machine drum beats interlaced with lo-fi guitar distortions and infused with decadent disco hotness. We're expecting a full-on dance party at Stubb's tonight, even if it's 45 degrees and effin' freezing. In the meanwhile, check out the album streams below.
UPDATE: After-party at FactoryPeople! Hang out with LCD Soundsystem, the Juan Maclean, and DJ Shit Robot, or just dance, drink and shop after the show.
