In Our Lifetime!

Best. Night. Ever.
The Astros are going to the World Series! Read it again. Let it soak in. It’s true. Last night may have been the greatest night in Houston sports history, and since we don’t have a pro sports team here, we adopt them as our own. Yes, there was 1994-1995 and Hakeem. But after suffering so much for so long, the sweet sabor of victory never tasted better. We kept a running blog of the evening’s events, but by the seventh inning we had lost control of our motor skills. And by the 9th inning we were being sprayed with tequila/champagne and may or may not have been crying a little. Roy Oswalt came up with the ballsiest pitching performance in club history and the offense took advantage of every opportunity afforded them. We wish we could go into more depth, but our last two brain cells are arguing about whether they want a cigarette or more coffee...or more champagne. But, if we were able we would discuss the following: Roy Oswalt, Craig BIggio, Jeff Bagwell, Mike Scott, 1986, Albert Pujols, 1961, 1980, Lance Berkman, etc. In the meantime, soak it all up. And read more about the historic evening here here here here…. You get the idea. We love everyone!

Dear Astros:

It will be a little cold this weekend here in Chicago. Don't worry though, you won't be making a return trip as the Mighty White Sox will put your team out of it's misery while down in Texas.
