The Truly Broken Spoke

As you probably have read and seen, the Broken Spoke suffered a blow from a tour bus Sunday night. Following a 15th anniversary celebration for country radio personalities Sam and Bob from KVET, Barbara Snowden of Barbara Snowden and the Geezinslaws decided to move their bus to a better spot. The better spot turned out to be, unfortunately, the side of the structure of the bar. Apparently Snowden had tried to apply the brakes, but when she pressed the break pedal, instead of slowing, the behemoth careered into the side of the building, shattering the windshield and blocking the front door of the old dance hall. Bar owner James White plans to have the Spoke open for lunch today and plans to go ahead with a hurricane benefit gig tomorrow night. While we are saddened to hear of the accident; we are happy to report that nobody was injured. Furthermore, if you are a shutterbug and want some pretty interesting/cool photos of a tour bus lodged in a historic honky tonk, grab your camera and head down to the Broken Spoke.
