Happy Birthday, Independence Brewery!

Austin's own Independence Brewing Company, purveyors of local handcrafted beers - we're partial to their Bootlegger Brown Ale, and we usually don't even care for beer - are celebrating their first anniversary this Saturday with a massive shindig at their brewery. From 1-6, come check out Barrelhouse Dogs and local label Chicken Ranch Records artists Willie Heath Neal and The White Ghost Shivers, while downing endless quantities of their fresh brews - right from the source! They're promising "beer ... flowing freely", which is a dangerous thing to say to most of the Austinist folks. We'll see you there.

Heading east on Highway 71/Ben White Blvd., turn right onto Todd Lane (the second traffic light east of I-35). Turn left into the third entrance of Pecan Business Park (3913 Todd Lane) and head straight to the back. Independence Brewing Co. is located on the right in #607.
