Dear Sidebar....JACKPOT! ...Giggity Giggity

Our buddies at Sidebar (602 E. 7th St) need to stop being so damn awesome. They are masters at convincing us that we should spend our nights hanging out on their patio.

First, they've got great prices. Second, they have a wonderful bar staff that pull off being hip/cool with smiles and charm instead of rudeness and apathy. Not to mention our well established desire to mouth pounce talk to a certain female bartender. Thirdly, an ass-ton of our friends are regulars, and we constantly get emails/text messages/phone calls asking us to meet up there.

Now, Sidebar is pulling us in with their undeniably good taste in movies...

Tonight at 9:30 they will be showing Christopher Guest's classic, Best in Show, which stars Eugene Levy, Parker Posey, Michael Hitchcock, Parker Posey, Parkey Posey, Catherine O'Hara and Parker Posey. Did we mention Parker Posey is in it?

Then, at 11:30pm, Sidebar will be screening the newly released Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story!.

We've heard mixed reviews, but quite frankly we don't give a damn - we love the Family Guy! As a matter of fact, we're going to go ahead and proclaim it to be the best comedy to ever hit network television. Take that, Katie Spence.

    Yes! I love Sidebar.

    More points for Sidebar:

The cocktails are strong (as well as cheap).

Their little pool tables are relatively well maintained.

The jukebox rocks it and has a totally ridiculous(ly awesome) amount of Tom Waits.

    Patio. Smoking. You know.

Clean bathrooms and a sweet couch in the ladies.

Once I hung out there in the afternoon and the four or five of us in there all watched The Jerk with the bartender.

I'd say Family Guy is a close second, Justin Cox.
