On Fox7News this morning, the weather guy said Austin's going to dodge the scary weather dished out by Rita. Rita changed course , and it looks like it'll hit around Beaumont/Port Arthur. In Austin, that translates into some showers on Saturday. We're trying not to think about what that means for New Orleans.

Fatal Accident
A seventeen year old bicyclist was killed yesterday morning when he was hit by a cement truck. Both were headed north on Congress Avenue.
Austin's Darling to Hold Concert
And in other music and bicyclist news, Lance Armstrong and Sheryl Crow are planning a concert to thank Austin fans. It will be held on October 2, the date he was first diagnosed with cancer, in Zilker park.

We just saw a commercial for the radio station KGSR, which some people we know call K-Geezer. The commercial said KGSR sounds like Austin. Or was it Austin sounds like KGSR? We can't remember. Anyway, we thought you might like to give your thoughts on that in the comments, as we've pretty much exhausted every angle of bitching about the hurricane.
