With ACL just a little over a week away, we've found ourselves spending quite a bit of time at work thinking about all the bands we can't wait to see during the day, and deciding which after-parties to attend.
Second to the hot weather, the task of figuring out which acts to see - and, sometimes, which acts to avoid at all cost - is our biggest concern. Certainly, we've had our hearts set on catching a few bands, regardless of how crazy the logistics of running back and forth between stages may be - Bloc Party, Franz Ferdinand, The Decemberists, Rilo Kiley, The Frames, M83, and Arcade Fire, among many others. But with over 125 bands on the lineup, we're not ashamed to admit that we haven't heard of quite a few of them.
Which is why we're ecstatic over having run across Out The Other, a music blog run by "community DJ"/writer Janet Timmons of Nashville. She's taken on the extraordinary task of putting together bios and mp3 links for every single band on the festival lineup.
Below are links to the first 25. You can also check out 26-50, 51-75, 76-100, and the remainders, which are still being posted daily.

What an astounding undertaking. We need to buy this woman a drink or two next weekend.
This is most burly information indeed, Allen. Thanks. But it does nothing to end the agony over the Franz Ferdinand v. Wilco choice that must inevitably be made. Curses to the ACL organizers for forcing this torturous decision upon us! (but kudos to them for arranging the kick-ass lineup in general)
I think the most reasonable compromise would be to watch Wilco and take FF home with us.
Thinking out loud!
screw the festival! just keep us posted on those parties.
My bro is in pong. I wonder if he could hook me up...
you are my favorite waitress. share your hookups!
thank god allen has come to his sense. wilco v. fran ferdinand. there is no decision to be made.
madison, you are also my favorite waitress. and i don't even want anything from you. that i know of.
Thanks for the linkage, Allen. Hopefully my little project will help a few people decide who to see (or not to see, as the case may be).
And I'm still pondering Wilco vs. Franz Ferdinand myself...
after reviewing the site i must bow to janet's greatness and thoughtfulness. i will gladly buy her a cold beer for her work, but only if she chooses wilco over F.F.
I love me some Franz Ferdinand, but it seems to me that having a difficult time choosing between FF and Wilco is sort of like choosing between making out with Johnny Depp or making out with some cute dude in your neighborhood.
I mean, the guy from your neighborhood might be really fun and all. But pass up an opportunity to lick the cigarette stained plaque off Johnny Depp's teeth? Never.
I sort of lost my train of thought.
