  • You forgot an excellent show on Thursday (9/15) at the Flamingo Cantina....NYC's Barbez, with locals Bee vs. Moth, the Invincible Czars and Ralph White!

  • afs rocks!

The QT6 festival is great and all, but the Austin Film Society has so far seriously botched the selling of tickets. When the passes were first made available on their website, the servers went down, and people had to phone in the orders the next Monday. Seriously frustrating and makes you wonder why they didn't have people phone in in the first place (or use the Alamo Drafthouse's online ticket system). After that the remaining tickets were supposed to be sold at $20-$30 admission for the entire night, or $10 for the last show. Then they decided they would clear the theatre after every show, and tickets would be sold $10 for each movie. Not really in the spirit of a film festival, but I guess it is in the spirit of a fundraiser. Then, on the first night of the QT6, they went back to selling the tickets $20-30 for the night. Really confusing, and really unprofessional.
