Pink Floyd Gets an Upgrade

22993.jpg

Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" is regarded as either one of the most astounding rock epics ever created or one seriously bloated piece of shite. For those of you who think the latter, perhaps listening to "Dark Side" done right will change your mind. From New York's Easy Star reggae label comes "Dub Side of the Moon" ... a track for track cover done in dub reggae style. Standout tracks include "Us and Them" featuring Frankie Paul and "Breathe (In The Air)" featuring Sluggy Ranks. Check out the website to preview samples, and if you like what you hear, you can check out the Easy Star All-Stars when they perform tonight at Flamingo Cantina. The doors open at 8:30 at the door, and according to their website, the Cantina wants you to come hungry 'cause Winston is cookin' his "delicious" jerk chicken, fish, and more. Grimy Styles and DJ Dr. Dubbist perform first, while The Easy All-Stars take the stage around 11 pm. "Preparing" for the show will cost you more than the ticket, which will set you back $12 at the door.
