the austin alliance for social justice, a group formed to fight the anti-marriage amendment on the ballot in november, is having a happy hour at mother egan's on thursday from 5:30-7:30. there's a suggested donation (i think it's 5 bucks) and free apps.
Paris 49 is playing a free happy hour gig tonight at Continental Club 6:30-8:30. tonight (monday). I have heard them before - it is something really fun and different. includes former members of 8 1/2 souvenirs.
Yup, Paris 49 have a Monday residency at the Continental Club -- it's definitely worth checking out, and you might pick up a swing lesson or two.
