Whiskey and Apples makes for yummy nights.
Tonight at 9pm, Whiskey and Apples Records will host a small, intimate show that features Peter & the Wolf, One Umbrella and Nick Hennies. The show will be tucked away in an east side apartment (1333 Arena Dr. #142)*.
Why the hell would we tell you about some tiny show that takes place in an apartment?
1) Because shows rule.
2) We have already documented our crush on One Umbrella.
3) Peter & the Wolf is one of Austin's hidden gems.
Peter & the Wolf play a very slow, minimal, acoustic set that embraces a gentle, yet somewhat spooky sound. When we hear them, visions of a simple early-century life slowly creep into our thoughts. If that description makes little sense, sorry. Instead of us trying to describe their sound, we suggest taking a listen to Peter & the Wolf yourself:

Fear not the idea of an apartment show! Bring a blanket and a bottle of wine and enjoy some wonderful music in a candle-lit setting! It will be a nice change considering you probably spend every other night at smoke-filled bars/clubs.
