Our buddies at The Statesman have written an article about the increase in gas prices, complete with a FAQ list of sorts. If you want to know why gas prices are so high, etc., check it out. If you just want to bitch about it, you know what to do. We hate when people say "you know what to do" on answering machines. Sorry, we digress.

Police are investigating a possible homicide at an apartment complex on 25th and Rio Grande. KXAN reports that police are keeping mum about the details.

Fox7News reports that Samsung won't make a decision to place their chip factory in Austin soon, but the Austin City Council has approved that huge incentive package, namely breaks in property taxes for 10 years and $9M in savings for city utilities.

I feel safer on the subway any day compared to getting in a car. Something about going over 70 mph beside other moving tons of steel frightens me.

Your subway might not be safe, though, SLP. I know, like Austin drivers are safe, right? Seriously, the 45th Street exit on Mopac is getting ridiculous.

One thing that I do not miss about living in the south is driving. And along with driving, comes buying gas. Word has it that around here, gas is roughly $3 a gallon. I can barely survive right now and could not imagine having to pay for gas. I will take my subway over driving anyday.
