Sweet, see you guys Saturday. My name is actually Madison, but a while ago all of the servers (but me) at the diner where from Wisconsin, and thus, named me Madtown. I only did one of those drawings, but I dare say, it was the best. It was the dude with the hat and hairy arms. His name's Ryan. He's leaving us for Kirbey Lane. I was the cartoon that said "I only wear T-shirts".

HEY I work there. At the Austin Diner. Here's the low down. They are filming How to Eat Fried Worms. We're closed all this week but will reopen on Saturday. The Brown Toad sign is there for strictly movie purposed. As is the giant toad on the roof, and all the crap inside. Hopefully the movie people will take everything down and put back all our stuff. I don't know if anyone ever noticed, but we had some drawings of the staff on napkins right in the entry way. They took those down. I hope they didn't throw them away. I mean, they were just paper napkins with silly renditions of the servers on them, but they were OUR paper napkins with silly renditions of the servers on them... Anyway, come to the diner on Saturday and sit on the patio! That's where I'm working, and I won't be making any $$$, because it's effiing hot.

i ate at the mighty Austin Diner last weekend and all the interior is totally different. All the quirky old vintage cooking equipment is gone and has been replaced with 100s of cheesy frogs, turtles, and other green ceramic/glass things. I thought that is was a poor choice in design but now it makes perfect sense that it is for a movie...

It's definitely "How to Eat Fried Worms." All the houses in the hood got a permission slip that explained the filming details (howdy neighbor). Also, the red truck parked on the corner of Lawnmont and Burnet has a little sign in the front window. Do you know what's up with the "Brown Toad" sign at the Diner?
