Last night we saw a group of our favorite ass-kicking girls at First Thursday.
They strode into the patio bar at Guerro's, Rollergirl shirts a bustin' and the music stopped. People whispered and mothers quickly retreated with their children to higher ground.
The crowd parted as they strutted over to where we were drinking.
The tall one grabbed our shirt, "Well, cowboy? You wanna go for a spin around the track."
We grabbed her hand in the rough way they enjoy. We smirked, "Baby, you keep at it and we'll be doing more than spinning."
Actually, no. Not so much.
We saw them passing out fliers and just cowered in the corner, staring at our toe drawing please-don't-hurt-me-okay-maybe-hurt-me-just-a-little-bit circles on the floor, melting in their presence.
And then they were gone.

We were there when that bitch stole your tail (we almost got up to fight for your honor, but we were very drunk and, well, we didn't want to get our asses publicly kicked while being held down and dressed in a schoolgirl outfit. Actually, come to think of it... hmmm.) We were there as you made that awesome spinning move when jamming that made the college guys sitting next to us scream, "DUDE!" while clinking cheap-ass beer cans. We were there when you went back for spanking seconds from the SWAT team. Oh how we wanted to be on that team. We bought 3 tickets even. THREE.
We sat in the front row, wishing, no... PRAYING that you would fall in our laps. But you never did.
And we went home to curl up in a ball, crying ourselves into a lonely and cold sleep. One more chance this weekend, right? One more?
We're being creepy, again, right? yeah.
