See The Black Angels: Recently (and Barely) Back in Town

theblackangels.jpg

The Black Angels will be playing a show with the Moonlight Towers at the Continental Club tonight. This is the Angels' first show in town since touring the West Coast in support of their "Sniper at the Gates of Dawn" EP. We've heard that while the shows went well, generally speaking, the Angels spent the past few months skiing along the precipice of disaster, and at least one Angel was poisoned. In other words, Austinist recommends that you go check out one of our favorite local bands before they meet any untimely deaths. Show around 11.

Go early. A good local band--The Hackberries--play at 10pm. They're fronted by Jim Fredley--also in Milton Mapes.
