Stitch Austin 2005

Stitch Austin, a fashion show and guerrilla craft bazaar affiliated with the Austin Craft Mafia just announced the date for this year's event. The mafiosa will be taking over Emo's on Sunday, November 13th.

DJ Mel and DJ Jen (Ear Candy) are slated to be on hand, ensuring that folks have something to move to whether on the runway or on the floor.

Applications are now open for anyone wanting to get their designs or goods seen on the runway or in the craft fair. Deadline to apply is Oct. 1.

Last year's show sold out, and saw more than 800 people come through the doors. As ultra-talented as the ladies of Stitch are, none of this would have been possible without help. The event is completely DIY, so if you'd like to lend a hand, Stitch is looking for volunteers, interns and local sponsorship.

We'd like to send a personal shoutout to Mafia members Tina Lockwood (SparkleCraft), Jesse Kelly-Landes (Amet and Sasha), Karly Hand (Identity Crisis) and Jen Perkins (Naughty Secretary Club). Thanks for not only putting on this event, but also for ensuring that a trauma-inducing amount of young hot fashionable girls will be on hand, ready to ignore our presence as we struggle to remember our names.
