Austinist has recently found itself in the strange position of being a big fan of experimental electronic music. We never thought we'd be into this sort of stuff, but all of a sudden, staticy loops and distorto bass lines totally do it for us. Sometimes, we even want to dance.

This weekend, there is a free electronic show at what is quickly becoming our favorite record store in Austin, End of an Ear. One Umbrella and Numbers on the Mast will be playing. Both sites include links to MP3s. If you have even an inkling of a desire to learn about the more fringe elements of electronic music, this is as good as any place to start.
