July is Austin Chamber Music Month

From tonight through July 23, the Austin Chamber Music Center hosts its annual ACMC Festival, with near-daily concerts featuring works by Beethoven, Ravel, Schubert, Brahms, and plenty more.
They're kicking off the month-long engagement tonight with a concert at the Driskill Hotel, featuring Austin Symphony Music Director Peter Bay along with several ACMC musicians. They'll be performing works by Beethoven, Gounod, and Dvorak; we suspect this will be one of the livelier performances of the series. Tickets to tonight's event are $50, which can be purchased online.
The rest of the festival will take place at various venues around town, including the Austin Children’s Museum, Central Presbyterian Church, and Huston-Tillotson College, with concerts alternating between daytime and nighttime. Several are free to the public, while others cost $25 to attend. You can also opt to purchase the entire festival subscription, which will run you $190 - this includes tonight's reception, as well as the closing Finale Fondue Gala.
