Get Your Move On

Update: This event is on Saturday not tonight as previously posted.

There’s no way to tell for sure since voter turnout around here is not the best, but based on your dyed hair, tattoos, dreadlocks and propensity for organic foods we have a sneaking suspicion that many of you do not lean right. Sweeping generalizations aside, we would like to point out that Jo’s Coffee on S. Congress is hosting a MoveOn.org-sponsored screening of the movie Bush’s Brain Saturday night at dusk.

This event is part of a nationwide movement by MoveOn members to mobilize progressive thinkers all over the country in response to the current Supreme Court Justice situation. Yep, that’s right Austin, even though you live in a predominantly red state you too can make a difference and MoveOn is here to tell you how. If you can’t make it, other members throughout the area are holding various events and house parties that will provide snacks, a movie screening and information about how to combat the otherwise inevitable appointment of a psycho-conservative Supreme Court Justice. And snacks. Search for events near you by zip code here, or sign up to host your own event.
