In The News Today:

10 Commandments OK in Texas
The Supreme Court ruled that the monument to the Ten Commandments at the Texas State Capitol can stay, despite previously ruling that displays in two Kentucky courthouses have to be removed. Why? Because, apparently, the Christian God has a better lawyer in the state of Texas.

The state Attorney General argued that the particular monument in question was for historical purposes not religious purposes. Silly! [Source] Christians all over the U.S. are working to fabricate additional historical reasons to have 100 new monuments installed.

Legislative Special Session Continues,
Little Progress Is Made?

Glancing at the headlines, it looks like the special session to focus on education is getting a bit sidetracked. While the Lege debates Perry’s plan, they also seem to be addressing other important issues like buying alcohol for minors and telecommunications reform. Apparently they were too busy thinking about high school cheerleaders to focus on such things during the normal session. Sigh.
