Lend a hand, Help us Tri

Austin’s 12th Annual Danskin Women’s Triathlon is this Sunday. Though it's little late to register to race along side the Austinist, you can still show your support by volunteering to help out.

This all female sprint distance triathlon is only one of the 8 races in the nationwide Danskin Triathlon Series and is the largest tri in Texas. In 1990 the series kicked off with only 150 racers, the series now celebrates its 100th race featuring over 5000 racers, making it the largest and longest-running in multi-sport history. The races raise money for The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Legendary Ironman triathlete Sally Edwards will be participating as she has for every Danskin race since its inception.

Volunteers are needed for all variety of duties Friday, Saturday and Sunday – see how you can support the racers and join the fight against breast cancer.
