Here are our picks for the week...

“Kylie Minogue for hipsters.”

The AquabatsCharge!!
The first release in nearly six years finds the Aquabats recharged with more of their quality playful pop-punk.

ColdplayX&Y
Old fans should continue to love their sound, but don’t expect any variations from that typical Colplday format.

KraftwerkMinimum-Maximum
A 2-disc recording of their 2004 European tour live show that sounds just as good as any of their studio albums.

The Planet TheYou Absorb My Vision
For those who would like some pop hooks with their prog-rock.

Teenage FanclubManmade
Glasgow power-pop group that delivers another solid, but safe, album.

Jim WhiteJim White Presents Music from Searching for the Wrong Eyed Jesus
Music from the film Searching For the Wrong Eyed Jesus that was inspired by Jim White’s Album Wrong Eyed Jesus. The soundtrack compliments the film’s journey through the Deep South with performances by various artists including the Handsome Family and Cat Power.

The White StripesGet Behind Me Satan
What we thought of it...

And because we know we haven't posted one of these in a couple of weeks, you can find more new music after the jump.

BjorkArmy of Me: Remixes and Covers
The idea of having a full album of just remixes of one song initially doesn’t sound that appealing, but there is enough of a difference and originality to each version that it makes it worth having for any Bjork fan. Plus, proceeds from the sale go to Unicef.

Four TetEverything Ecstatic
Moving away from the folktronica sound he helped define, this talented producer delivers a more beat driven and intense effort.

Maximo ParkA Certain Trigger
A strong debut release from this Newcastle band that is full of quality songs and not just a batch of hit singles.

SmogA River Ain’t Too Much To Love
New Austin resident Bill Callahan records his 12th(!) album at Willie Nelson’s Pedernales recording studio and brings in friends like Jim White (Dirty Three) and Joanna Newsom. The final product sounds even more subdued than his previous efforts.

At the Drive-In – This Station Is Non-Operational: Anthology
Any ATDI fan must own this, as it compiles some rarities along with a bonus DVD.

Belle and Sebastian
Push Barman to Open Old Wounds
A 2-disc collection of non LP tracks that sounds more like a greatest hits album than a rarities collection.

CommonBe
Common bounces back from the somewhat confusing Electric Circus album with the help of super-producer Kanye West.

Gorillaz
Demon Days
New producer Danger Mouse takes over for this second release that doesn’t deliver as much fun as the first, but grows on you after each listen. More along the lines of Blur’s latest release, Think Tank.

LuceroNobody’s Darlings
Memphis group slips in subtle country and blues tendencies into their garage rock delivery.
