This site is about a VARIETY of topics. This is only ONE of the many covered. There are posts about government, stores, restaurants, etc., in addition to this article (and the music articles)that were posted today and every other day. Dave, the constructive criticism is appreciated, and that is a good story suggestion. Hopefully someone who is concerned about this particular health and fitness topic will find it of some use. If not, no serious harm done.

Hey Dave, Covering neighborhood specific issues is something that we've been working towards getting a better handle on. We've been making an internal push among the folks involved to better organize ourselves so that way we'll have time to expand our research and coverage. Hopefully you'll start to see more of those kinds of posts soon. Also, if there are issues that you (any of you!) feel especially affected by, you can also contact anyone on this list with suggestions on topics. Our goal is to cover things that matter to people here in Austin. We know no one will find every post relevant to their life, but hopefully we'll be of enough use for you to continue reading. PS: Dear Austin... Bike lanes are for BIKES, not parked cars.

I have to agree, how to make a smoothie is pretty weak. I would like to see more local political and neighborhood issues covered. The Shoal Creek bike lane debacle is a really fascinating example of our local government at work, for instance.

Right. 1) hmmm...while I appreciate your concern for what you'd like to see posted, maybe if you made suggestions in a less bitchy manner, your point wouldn't be lost to those you're trying to reach. Or if you're going to be bitchy, at least be creative or funny about it. 2) I don't think Austin's thousands of hipsters would appreciate you calling any of the Austinist writers "hipsters." The closest the staff comes to hipsters are two Asian guys, and I'm sorry, but science and math do not a hipster make. 3) Why did you chose this post to vent in? Poor Jen and her delicious sounding recipe did nothing to deserve this! So you hate hipsters, smoothies and what else? Puppies? I bet you hate puppies. :( I'm kidding. In all seriousness I'm glad you do chose to read this blog and hopefully as we grow and expand our coverage you'll find us more interesting. Remember that we love you, even if you think we're hipster trash.

Your content is really lacking in comparison to Chicago and Gotham. Please write about more local hangouts, eateries, etc. instead of JUST the local music scene. I know you guys are a bunch of Austin hipsters, but come on, the people who read these blogs don't always live in the city you write about. They just like to read about it. So, how about you WRITE ABOUT IT?
