5x7 Preview Party

Tomorrow night, Arthouse at the Jones Center is holding a Preview Party for 5x7: Art Splurge and Exhibition.

This event was voted "Best Art Exhibition and Party" in the 2004 Chronicle Critics' Choice Awards.

5x7 is an art sale and exhibition benefiting Arthouse exhibitions and educational programs. Hundreds of recognized contemporary artists with strong Texas ties create unique works of art on identical 5” x 7” boards. Each board is only $100. With hundreds of works to choose from, this is your chance to have first pick and build or add to your art collection. All pieces are displayed anonymously – only when you purchase a work of art will you discover who created it.

Recognized as one of Austin’s hippest and most progressive artistic soirées . . . it would be a sin to miss it!

Unfortunately, our heathen asses don't have a whopping $125 to lay down for tickets, which can be purchased here. But oh, we wish we did. If the photos from last year's event are any indication, the art looks like its going to be outstanding! We want a chance to peek and buy pieces before the show is open to the public. Plus, we love being able to help with our wallets when events use their proceeds to benefit the community...especially educational programs.

So if you have the chance, please buy yourself (or us!) a ticket and go mingle among some great folks and even better art.
