Not So New, But Still Cool.

M80: The first ever No/New Wave Festival!, a film about the early days of the New Wave music scene, is being screened tonight at the downtown Alamo Drafthouse. It features rare, early footage of Devo and a lot of other bands from that era. If you don't know why all the bands around today sound the way you do, perhaps you should see this movie and find out.

The director, Chris Strouth, will be in the audience, and tickets are only $1, which means you can spend the rest of your pocket change on beer and friend food. Sounds like a bargain to us!
