This place, The Space, throws art in your face!

The Space, a relatively new gallery located at 4803 Airport Blvd (next to I Luv Video), is showing works from over 70 artists in an exhibition called Art 101. The show features artists from Austin, Houston, San Fran, L.A., Seattle, Chicago, New York, Portland, and many other cities. All work is restricted to a 12" X 12" surface area.

Art 101 opens Thursday, April 21st and runs through the 30th. On Saturday, April 23, from 7pm-11pm there will be an open party with many of the artists in attendance. The Austinist is not sure if this event is BYOB, but the second we know, you'll know. Most of the art will priced between $25 and $200, so you should come buy yourself the Austinist artwork for your our walls. We love art. Buy us art.

The Austinist has enjoyed past shows a The Space, including the SXSW dance party they hosted in conjunction with Super!Alright!. So have no fear, if you attend on Saturday, we don't expect you to be let down.
