Apparently many gay Roman Catholics this week were dissapointed with the selection of Joseph Ratzinger, aka Pope Benedict XVI. A staunch doctrinal conservative, even for a pope, Ratzinger has made it quite clear that homosexuality is a 'tendency ordered towards an intrinsic moral evil." Ouch. Well even if the Church is against them, at least their is still the state. Oh wait, yeah sorry gay commmunity this isn't your week.
Earlier today the House of the Texas legislature approved a bill that included an amendment banning homosexuals AND bisexuals from becoming foster parents. The state Senate approved a similar bill reforming foster care which did not include the totally gay ban.
Those members of the gay community looking to provide peace and stability to a troubled child's life might want to consider moving to Arkansas where a similar law was overturned by the "CRAZY LIBERAL ACTIVIST" judges as unconstitutional.

On hearing this announcement from Texas, the newly appointed Pope Benedict XVI shocked many by stating that a child is best served by a parent who truly loves them regardless of their orientation.

Actually the Roman Catholic Church has made it clear that "Allowing children to be adopted by [homosexuals] would actually mean doing violence to them." That's funny, we could have sworn actually beating the kids, which would then lead them into foster care is doing violence to them. Who knew?
