It's My Park! Day!

On Saturday, April 23rd, the kick ass crew over at the Austin Parks Foundation will be celebrating its annual It's My Park! Day all around town. It's a day of community involvement where over 1,000 civic-minded Austinites give back to the city they love by cleaning up the parks and trails they frequent so often. These projects are all around Austin, so you can get involved and volunteer right next door. Just remember that you fill out your volunteer registration form before 5pm on April 22nd.

Most projects are from 9am -1pm, and while the idea of waking up early on Saturday may not sound too appealing, the sun, the fresh air, and the warm feeling of self-fulfilment will carry you through the day. That's an Austinist promise.
