Come on, hit me. Harder. Harder.

The Paramount Theatre continues its salute to Martin Scorsese tonight with a 7:30 showing of Raging Bull, a pastoral drama in which Robert DeNiro's country priest sells his Holstein cow to buy his ailing wife a bowl of wild strawberries. You can imagine the effect this has on the Holstein's husband, who ends up with neither wife nor strawberries.
The Paramount, located on Congress between 7th and 8th, is one of Austinist's favorite places to see a movie. They sell wine and beer, and the Classical/Revival/Baroque-Revival architecture makes us feel distinguished. Don't forget to bring a sweater, though. And try not to be over 5'8" or so.
We're at the tail end of the Scorsese thing but you can also catch Goodfellas on Wednesday and Thursday. Oh, and speaking of wild strawberries, the Paramount's Ingmar Bergman festival starts in May.
