Some of you old-schoolers may remember back when the Alamo Drafthouse had $1 Monday nights. You know, back when there was only ONE Alamo Drafthouse. Well, the good folks at our favorite beer-and-a-flick cinema house are back to their old good-neighborly-ways. Beginning next Monday, April 4, The Alamo Drafthouse Downtown will be offering movies for $1 , popcorn for $1 and, you guessed it, soda for $1! And, seeing how we love our music and Monday is generally a slow club day, The Alamo is going to be showing music-related films at 9:45 on Mondays, as well. And all for $1! Enjoy. You're welcome. But we've been doing that $1 night Monday thing again for a little over a year now. Maybe two years. I don't know, but it's been a while. But it's true, there were six months or so in 2002 when we weren't showing movies for $1 on Mondays. We are sorry, though, and have repented.
