It's not a gas

No matter how hard you squint through the yellow haze of pollen or rub your puffy, watery eyes, you’ll still see the same ridiculously high numbers at the gas pump.

gasoline.jpg The AAA Texas Web site lists March 25, 2005, as the first time gas has risen above the $2.00/gallon mark in our state. A day such as this needs a title. How about "Big Bend Over Day?" (See what we did there?) Feel free to send us your suggestions.

Austinist offers you a little comfort: Dallas is paying more for gas than we are.

Check out www.fueleconomy.gov to find the lowest gas prices in town.

  • Shucks, I just paid $2.34 a gallon in our nation's capital. I don't think you can complain much about a little old two dollars
