Serenity Now! at the Dandelion Cafe

Feeling a little bit peace-challenged? Follow us over to East 11th where we can relax at the Dandelion Cafe over lattes and raisin toast with fig jam.
The staff takes friendly to a new level. We don't know if they remember us, but we sure feel like they do. The decor is spare and comfortable--someone made a few trips to IKEA. The menu is spare, as well, and we welcome it. Sometimes we feel life in 2005 involves too many decisions.

It's nice to think about our vegetarian lunch as a choice between italian grilled cheese (smoked mozzarella, pesto, and tomatoes on sourdough bread) or fancy grilled cheese (goat cheese with honey, fig preserves, and basil on raisin bread--now that is fancy). There's classic grilled cheese, too.

Meat eaters might choose from roast turky, chicken salad or a BLT. Soups and salads are also offered, as well light breakfast sampling (cereal, toast, bagel, granola). Snack on some pumpkin bread with cream cheese. (Something we had never had together before, but damn was it delicious.) When you think about it, what isn't good with cream cheese? Heck, we'd lick cream cheese of our foot. Or yours.
