Slider? I don't even know her!
From Austinist man on the street, Justin Cox:
Most people know the small diner tucked away on Lamar and 6th as The
G-M Steakhouse. But for a smaller, much more lucky group, it's know as
Reido's, the hottest after-hours spot in town. When G-M closes it's
doors, Reido's opens up. Named for it's owner and cook, Reido's serves
up a small but delicious menu consisting of sliders (small, half-sized
hamburgers), chili and coney dogs. Open from 6pm-midnight on Mondays
and Tuesdays, and 6pm-3am, Wednesday through Saturday, the diner is
constantly filled with hungry patrons. From hipsters to drunken club
go-ers, anyone and everyone who walks in the door leaves with a smile
and a belly full of yum. If you're extra hungry, you can shoot for the
slider-eating record and have your name displayed on the wall. The
last time I checked in, the cheese slider record was 15 and the
chili-cheese slider was 11. For those who hate crowds, $6.50 will
score you a bag of 6 sliders to go. For dessert Reido serves up a
"Grilled With," a piping hot glazed donut smothered in vanilla ice
cream.
Side note: We will buy a pitcher of beer to any Austinist
reader who earns the right to have his or her name on the record
board.

And to think I never knew what a slider was until I found this place. I've gotta try that donut thing.
I worked nextdoor to G/M Steakhouse for 2 years and had never even heard of Reido's until I was dragged there by some friends one drunken night. I don't eat meat, but everyone I was with inhaled those sliders and my grilled cheese was to die for.
I could eat Reido's until the sun comes up. Every day. I still haven't had the Grilled With, but that's because I can't stop eating the cheese sliders.
Hmm...only 15 huh? I think it sound do-able. Painful, but do-able.
