Monkeys, Mice, Free iPods

The Gorillaz - a band of cartoon monkeys which features the lead singer of Blur and Del, the funkee homosapien - are coming out with a new album soon, and you can be one of the first to hear it by coming out to their world premiere listening party.

The party is from 3-5 on Thursday at Red Fez, and features an open bar, snacks, iPod giveaways, and DJ "Please Stop Suing Me For Creating The Most Motivating Album Of 2004" Dangermouse mp3jing from his personal collection. RSVP here.

We've heard that Gorillaz shows at SXSW in the past have been very cool, and, though the band won't actually be present, having the opportunity to hear these new beats is one we wouldn't want to miss.
