This burning news just in! Ana Marie Cox of Wonkette is a Texan! She grew up in the hill country. NOW IF THAT ISN'T A SCOOP, we clearly don't know what is.
More interestingly is that Ms. Cox is currently destroying the egos of many bloggers by presenting a very good argument for why blogging is not journalism. Why? Because journalism involves actual reporting, whereas bloggers blog about people doing reporting. Snap!

If you and Ana Marie Cox dismiss blogs so much, than why are you doing them? Could it be that blogs do serve a productive purpose (if only to get you noticed and further your career)? Would she have appeared on Charlie Rose if she didn't have a blog?

in other news, wonkette has an invisibility belt. we ran out of the room as quick as we could to get food and beat the rush, took maybe -- *maybe* -- a 30 second detour through the trade show, went downstairs and straight outside, and who's walking down the street (in front of us!) talking on her cell phone? that's right: ana marie cox.
i have no idea how she got out of that room so fast. she must have a body double or teleportation powers or something.
