Peel at Redrum

Just in time to be a few days early for SXSW, brand spankin' new band Peel is having their debut concert at Redrum on Sixth Street. If you're a fan of indie rock bands that feature cute female keyboard players and cute female bass players who wear braces, this is a band for you. The band also features the rock and roll stylings of hometown hero, Dakota Smith, who plays guitar for the group.

They'll be going on at 11:30, but stop by early for Model A, Grey Holiday, and Love Mafia Jazz. The cover is only $3, but be warned -- Redrum's drinks cost more than they should, and aren't very strong. We suggest stopping in at The Velvet Spade for pre- and post-show drinks.

Look for Austinist, hiding in the corner, shamefully smoking cigarette after cigarette while claiming to have quit.
